Military Appreciation & Trauma Support

As we observe Memorial Day and Military Appreciation Month, we highlight the role of energy work and massage in supporting our veterans. The "invisible wounds" of service, such as PTSD and chronic hyper-vigilance, often manifest as deep-seated physical tension.
Reiki is especially effective in this context because it is non-invasive. For individuals who may find deep physical pressure over-stimulating, Reiki offers a pathway to reach a state of deep parasympathetic rest. This allows the nervous system to feel safe enough to begin the process of long-term healing.
Research published in Military Medicine indicates that integrative therapies, including Reiki and therapeutic touch, significantly reduce the severity of PTSD symptoms and improve overall quality of life for veterans by lowering the body’s "fight-or-flight" response.
